Between March 13 and 18, 2017, the Multidimensional Poverty Measurement Workshop: Impact on Social Policy will be held at the Universidad of Los Andes, in Bogota, Colombia.
This workshop is the result of a collaboration between the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States, through its Department of Social Inclusion, the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI), the Department for Social Prosperity of the government of Colombia and the University of Los Andes.
The workshop´s objective is to strengthen the capacities of public officials from national governmental agencies of social protection to better understand poverty, as well as to discuss its conceptualization and the practices for its measurement. The use and impact of those measures in social policy are also addressed.
